What is White Tea?

Like black and green tea, white tea comes from the Camellia sinensis plant. However, only the pale, young leaf buds are used for this tea. These are harvested in early spring shortly after they emerge, then carefully laid out on bamboo trays to wilt, air and dry.

What does White Tea taste like?

The flavour is similar to green tea, but less astringent. Its delicate floral aroma and low tannin content make it a particularly mild and refined option.

Why choose White Tea from SONNENTOR?

Thanks to its gentle processing, the delicate aromas of white tea are largely preserved. At SONNENTOR, you can enjoy this mild Camellia sinensis either pure or in blends. These varieties offer a naturally refined moment of enjoyment:

How is White Tea prepared?

Use one teaspoon of tea per cup and pour over water at around 80°C. The shorter the infusion time, the milder the flavour. If steeped for longer, white tea can become slightly bitter. High-quality white tea can be infused up to four times, each infusion revealing a different character of the plant.
